CSR Partnership Program

The CSR Partnership Program by OM.Farm is designed to support both non-profit and for-profit organizations in their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Through the program, organizations can sponsor operators in developing countries who need livestock capital by purchasing a subscription plan. The funds collected through your subscription will be used to purchase livestock for traditional farmers in Tra Vinh, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

OM.Farm will manage the program and assign each organization a Farm Profile, allowing them to track their partnership and, if needed, communicate directly with their sponsored operators. Organizations only need to pay for the subscription plan, while OM.Farm handles all other aspects of the program, including livestock management and onboarding traditional farmers. This program provides organizations with a transparent and effective way to extend their CSR efforts and positively impact the lives of traditional farmers in developing countries.

The subscription fees cover the costs associated with managing and maintaining the platform, including hosting and administrative expenses. The fees also help to cover the cost of local representatives who are responsible for checking on the livestock and providing updates to partners through the platform. This allows organizations to stay informed about the status of their livestock and the impact of their sponsorship on traditional farmers. Subscription fees are an essential part of the financing model for OM.Farm, as they help to ensure that the platform can continue operating and providing value to traditional and virtual farmers.

The number of livestock can vary based on factors such as the type of livestock and local market prices. For example, certain types of livestock may be more cost-effective for traditional farmers to raise and care for. Additionally, market prices for different types of livestock may fluctuate, which can affect the number of animals a traditional farmer can invest in through our platform. As a result, we are unable to provide an exact number of livestock in our share leasing agreements. Still, we strive to provide estimates based on the best available information and work with our traditional farmers to ensure that the agreements meet their needs and goals.

The livestock belongs to the plan sponsor, who has entered into a lease agreement with traditional farmers to care for and raise the animals. The plan sponsor provides the upfront capital to purchase the livestock, while the traditional farmer provides the necessary care and resources to raise the animals. The profits from the sale of the livestock production are then shared between the plan sponsor and the traditional farmer according to the terms of the agreement, which can vary but typically range from 100% for the traditional farmer to a split of 70/30 in favor of the plan sponsor.

No, the plan sponsor is not responsible for managing the livestock. OM.Farm manages the livestock on behalf of the plan sponsor. Our subscription fees exist to cover the costs of our local representatives who check on the livestock twice a month and work with the traditional farmers to address any issues that may arise. The plan sponsor can view the status of their farm at any time through their farm profile on the platform, but they are not required to take any active management actions.

We are not a registered 501C charitable organization. We are a social enterprise that aim to connect livestock farmers globally, especially in developing countries. We recognize that farmers, particularly in developing countries, are proud and hardworking individuals who do not want to be perceived as charity recipients. We believe that by connecting virtual farmers and traditional farmers, we can create a win-win situation in which both farmers share in the profits of the progeny.
